TQR - 2nd leg - Celtic's Pyrrhic victory at Paradise

Celtic, 2 SC Braga,1 (agg.2-4)
Very bad first half. Braga played very well and deserved the half time result.
In the second time, Celtic improved a lot when Marc-Antoine Fortuné came in.
It's impossible to recover from a 0-3 result, when you miss so many goal occasions!
We can see that the team is under a construction process. Of playing, a new players' adjustment...and it takes time.
Great effort from Samaras, sometimes with lack of lucidity. Juárez is a good player. Didn't like Charlie Mulgrew, or Celtic's defenders - lots of mistakes that could have been dramatic.
Now only one thought : Inverness

Celtic Lineup
Lukasz Zaluska;
Cha Du-Ri; Glenn Loovens, Jos Hooiveld and Charlie Mulgrew; (Marc-Antoine Fortuné)
Efrain Juárez, Scott Brown (Paddy McCourt) and Joe Ledley;
Georgios Samaras, Gary Hooper and Shaun Maloney (Daryl Murphy);

Gary Hooper and Efrain Juárez scored the goals
Non used subs - Cervi, Rogne, Rasmussen and Sung Yueng;

TQR - Celtic Park "Full House" expected

Champion's League 2011 - Third Qualifying Round
Sporting Clube Braga, 3 Celtic Football Club, 0 (
Goals: Alan (penalty), Echiejile and Matheus)

With such a result the Bhoys must play a wonderful match at Paradise (Celtic Park) to achieve Champion's League next stage.
It´s true it's Neil Lennon debut, the season just started and many new players came to the Hoops a few weeks ago, but the match was booked some months ago.
The squad neither reached a compact game,
nor a satisfactory pace, due to bad physical condition and many newcomers.
It will be a difficult match at Celtic Park, but Celtic won 3-0 at UEFA cups some other times!

Against portuguese teams
CL 2008 - against Benfica (1-0 / 0-1)
CL 2007 - against Benfica (3-0 / 0-3)
UE 2003 - against Boavista (1-1 / 1-0)
UC 1999 - against Guimarães (2-1 / 2-1)
UC 1984 - against Sporting CP (5-0 / 0-2)
CW 1976 - against Boavista (3-1 / 0-0)
CL 1970 - against Benfica (3-0 / 0-3)
UC 1965 - against Leixões (3-0 / 1-1)
Only for 3 times Celtic was in disadvantage with portuguese teams, FC Porto in UC final 2003 (2-3), FC Porto 2002 CL groups (1-0 / 0-3) and Sporting CP 1994 UC (1-0 / 0-2).
